Brother Pence is a native of Kentucky but has lived in North Carolina since 1983. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where he earned a BS degree in education and two MA’s degrees, in education and school administration. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Linda. They have been married for 42 years and have three sons and four grandchildren. His personal interests include spending time with his family and friends, as well as,   playing and singing bluegrass music.

Brother Pence has preached in lectures, gospel meetings, and whereever the opportunity has presented itself, for over 40 years. He has been preaching full time since retiring from secular work in 2005. He has served as an elder in two congregations over a period of 16 years and as a deacon for another 8 years.  

Brother Pence has been preaching at South Stokes since December 2007!
