What To Expect When You Visit Us

Our worship is simple and devout.  It is not characterized by displays of emotion and excitement, but is calculated to help draw each worshipper closer to God.  Our aim is for each member to continue to grow in the knowledge of God and in spiritual strength in order to face the challenges of the modern world.

It is our purpose to be governed in everything we do by the Bible alone.  As Paul wrote to young Timothy, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

For this reason, our worship service consists of those five acts of worship that are seen to be present in the first century church that we read about in scripture.  Each Sunday, we have acapella singing of songs of praise to the Lord (Colossians 3:16; Ephesians 5:19).  We speak to our heavenly Father as we pray (Acts 2:42).  We give of our means in order to support the work of the church, as Paul instructed the first century congregations to do (1 Corinthians 16:1-2).  We partake of the Lord’s Supper as a memorial of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross for the remission of our sins (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).  We have a weekly message from God’s word as we teach and preach what it is that God wants each of us to know and understand (2 Timothy 4:1-2).

You Are Invited!

You are invited to join with us as we worship our Lord and Savior.  We welcome you to come and see what New Testament Christianity is all about as we strive to be the first century church in the 21st century.  When you visit with us, you will be our honored guest.  No one will single you out or knowingly embarrass you in any way.  You will not be expected to participate in the giving for the work of the church as a non-member.

We believe that all can be uplifted and encouraged in the worship assembly.  Since we are only accepting the Holy Scripture of God as our reason for what we teach and practice, we have no earthly headquarters, no sectarian organization, no denominational name, and no human creeds or doctrine.  We are simply Christians, and it is our purpose to follow Christ and His teachings along with the teachings of His inspired Apostles and prophets in the New Testament.  Therefore, the preaching and teaching you hear will be biblically based.

At the close of the sermon, those who wish to become Christians are invited to accept the Lord’s invitation to obey the gospel and submit to God’s requirements (Acts 2:37-38).  No one is singled out for public attention, however, and no one will go through the attendees to urge people to go forward.

In addition to our worship services on Sunday, we also have Bible classes for all ages on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.  All family members can be greatly benefited from a study of God’s Holy Word.

We extend to you our most cordial invitation to meet with us often, and we promise you a most friendly welcome!  You are invited to come as many times as you wish in order to listen, learn, and participate.  We sincerely believe that all mankind can benefit by having a close, personal relationship with God according to the instructions of His Holy Word!
